Our Texas representative, Lloyd Doggett, held a town hall this weekend. It was somewhat reassuring that there is push back going on but also scary to know more about the administration's actions. It was very reassuring to see young there and engaged.
I'm in Colorado with 2 Democratic Senators.. last count, one voted to confirm 4 and one to confirm 3.. I let them know I'm keeping count while asking them to reject these unqualified nominees. Hick says they're vetting, etc, but nice letter. Benett, same. Keep those cards, letters and phone calls going folks. They have to know we're here!
Thanks for your post. I’m trying to carve out a message to Democrats with the same bottom-line thesis: They’re failing us. I’m offering options to help improve that situation. We share the same conviction and passion about our crisis as a country.

Agreed... and my senators are two of the GOOD ones (Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith)., though I was frankly disappointed in Sen. Klobuchar's response to my early warnings about Musk back in the early months of 2024. She assured me that the "No Kings Act" that she co-sponsored would definitely make sure that nothing like what's happening would ever happen!
I also heard today that Tina Smith will not be rerunning for re-election in 2026. THAT is a major gut-punch! She has quietly stood against MAGA-malice from the beginning. My hopes are she will break lots of stuff on the way out!
